In this special edition of Paola’s Studiolo we welcome James M. Bradburne, an Anglo-Canadian architect, designer and museologist who has designed world exhibition pavilions, science centers and international art exhibitions. He will learn not only about the most important projects at the Brera, but also about some of his favorite masterpieces in Milan’s most important museum collection.
Educated in Canada and England, Bradburne holds a degree in architecture from the Architectural Association and a doctorate in museology from the University of Amsterdam. Over the past twenty years he has carried out exhibitions, research projects and conferences on behalf of UNESCO, national governments, private foundations and museums in various parts of the world. From 2006 to March 2015 he was Director General of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, dedicating himself to transforming the Palazzo into a dynamic cultural center. He is now Director General of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Braidense National Library.
